Serrapeptase--doses

Serrapeptase is taken as a dietary supplement, and therefore does not come with a strict dosage regulation.    However, there is now a bed of evidence to provide a 'norm' as a guideline to dosage.

In the press reports reproduced on this site, patients with particular conditions such as arthritis or severe pain have started on a dose of 9 capsule per day, where each capsule contained 20,000 units of serrapeptase. They have then reduced to a maintenance dose of  1 or 2 capsules twice per day.

The tablets that we sell each contain 10,000 units of serrapeptase (because we wanted to allow long-term suffers to reduce to a lower maintenance dose if they wish).

So it is possible to start with a dose as high as 18 tablets per day. Most of our customers are on a regular dose of
1 or 2 tablets, twice per day--i.e. 20,000 or 40,000 units per day.

If you are about to start taking serrapeptase, it is up to you to decide how quickly you want to reduce your
symptoms--you may feel that starting on a lower intake is less risky, but it may take longer for your symptoms to reduce.

We supply serrapeptase in enterically-coated tablet form, containing 10,000 units of serrapeptase per tablet, in quantities of either 60 or 120 tablets per bottle.   Serrapeptase should be taken on an empty stomach, with a glass of water.
